"Oedipus the King" by Sophocles

In the play"Oedipus the King", Sophocles talk more about tragedies of destiny and before reading it , I had expexted a lovely story about the king  and his kingdom. Instead ,the play is full of unfortunate suprising facts. what i liked the most it is how the plot  in every different way is convincing and making the audience believe that no one can escape his/her fate. I would recommend it to a friend , because it is talking about real like and what happened to Oedipus can happen to anyone.

  1. That's one of the great things about this specific read, it's completely true. Fate is something that is truly out of our hands. Although we can't go to an oracle and find out our true fate, it still exists and everyone has a reason and mission on this earth.
